With no less than 10 aircraft participating, the Spanich Airforce was the main "customer" of TLP 2004-4. "Hornets" of Torrejon-based Ala 12 have become quite a regular but nevertheless welcome sight at Florennes. This EF-18A+ is captured lining up on Florennes' runway 08L, moments before departure for another TLP mission blessed by very good weather.

Operating together with six EF-18s in the air-to-ground role was a pair of Spanish Mirage F.1Ms of Albacete-based Ala 14. The unit was rather busy in August and September 2004, as it did not only participate in TLP 2004-4, but also in the NATO Tiger-Meet at Schleswig. This Mirage F.1 is carrying a heavy load consisting of two external fuel-tanks, an AIM-9, an ECM-pod and an ACMI-pod.

Operating in the air-to-air role together with a pair of Greek F-16s were two Tornado F.3s of Royal Air Forces 43 Squadron based at Leuchars. A lot of technical problems with this very complex air-defence aircraft lead to many aircraft changes during TLP 2004-4. Therefore, five different Tornados F.3s were present at Florennes during the four weeks of the flying course, just to keep two aircraft flying.

Although not belonging to an official TLP partner nation, the French Airforce regularly takes part in TLP flying courses. The French receive some TLP slots for free as "payment" for offering French airspace even for low-level-operations. This Mirage 2000N is captured seconds before landing on Florennes' runway 08L, completing a successful TLP mission.
